Recessed down lights are a very popular form of lighting.  However, as responsible contractors we advise that down lights must be adequately guarded and sealed, with insualtion values safely maintained over each down light or they may be detrimental to your property.

Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade has publicaly reported "a fire approximately every 3 to 5 days caused by down lights".
